Meta is working on a deal with Brazil for the Crypto brand

Meta is currently awaiting the final green light for an app registration agreement with Brazil and Brazilian authorities that will disrupt the game and enable them to expand into a new market.

Meta published the registration application at the end of January and is currently awaiting opposition before INPI approval in Brazil; As Meta hopes to bridge a gap for Bitcoin and other cryptos with its game-changing new hardware development, could the company help add Brazil to the list of crypto destinations?

Meta has filed a trademark registration with Brazil and the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) for crypto products and services related to trading platforms, wallets and exchanges.

A metacoin platform is an information technology infrastructure that enables a digital currency and its digital asset transactions. It is a distributed ledger technology that we commonly know and call it a blockchain. Popular metacoin platforms include Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Meta, the world’s largest social media platform, has filed a trademark registration with Brazilian authorities to design, develop, and provide hardware and software for various bitcoin and crypto-related services. In a nutshell, it’s “design, development, and implementation of software for third-party verification services for digital currency transactions, including (but not limited to) transactions involving Bitcoin currency.”

INPI Brazil and Metas Hurdle…

The National Institute of Intellectual Property (IPNI) is a French public administrative institution whose mission is to receive applications and issue industrial property titles, such as patents or patents. Meta had filed earlier in the year and has been waiting for some time now; once done, the move could open doors and raise awareness for crypto in Brazil.

Meta has published the application for registration in recent weeks, and is currently awaiting opposition prior to INPI approval. According to the filing, Meta’s first trademark filing order was passed on October 5 last year.

Meta: a new place with an old thing…

Meta has done quite a bit of rebranding recently, particularly around crypto and blockchain technology, and around its broader Facebook product in particular, with the intention of aligning better with developments in the metaverse. Despite the regulatory hurdles encountered in its many attempts to enter the crypto space, Meta continues. Meta is one of the largest social media platforms, despite the wider public perception of being the “baby boomer social media” compared to other platforms.

After logging into Facebook and parting ways with some former crypto executives, Meta showed a good vision for the future – can they keep the momentum going?
